# Manage Workspace Users, Roles, and Permissions in Myna

> Invite teammates and clients to your workspace, assign roles, control feature access with permissions, and manage agency-level team visibility.

Every Myna workspace has its own set of users, each assigned a role that governs what they can see and do. You can invite teammates, clients, or contractors to a workspace and give them exactly the level of access they need — from full administrative control to read-only conversation access. Agency accounts add a second role layer that grants cross-workspace visibility for your internal team.

## Workspace Roles

Every user in a workspace is assigned one of three roles: **Owner**, **Admin**, or **User**. The owner role belongs to the person who created the workspace (or was granted ownership by an agency admin) and cannot be changed.

<Note>
  Workspace users can only see the workspace they've been explicitly invited to. If you're a workspace admin, you have no visibility into other workspaces you haven't been invited to — even within the same agency.
</Note>

### Role Permissions Comparison

The table below reflects the default permissions for each role. Workspace owners can customize admin and user permissions in **Settings → Permissions**.

  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the invite">
    Click **Send Invite**. The person receives an email with an invite link. They must click the link to accept and join the workspace.
  </Step>
</Steps>

### Pending Invites

Invited users appear in the Users list with a **Pending** status until they accept their invite. You can resend or revoke a pending invite at any time from the same Users settings page.

<Tip>
  If an invitee doesn't receive the email, ask them to check their spam folder. The invite email comes from Myna's notification address and occasionally gets filtered.
</Tip>

## Removing a User

To revoke a user's access, navigate to **Settings → Users**, find the user in the list, and click **Remove**. Their access is revoked immediately — they will no longer be able to log in to the workspace. Only the workspace owner can remove users. You cannot remove yourself from a workspace.

## Customizing Permissions

Workspace owners can fine-tune what admins and users are allowed to do beyond the defaults. Navigate to **Settings → Permissions** to open the permissions editor.

<Accordion title="Available permission categories">
  You can enable or disable specific actions within each of the following categories for the Admin and User roles:

  * **Dashboard** — View access
  * **Contacts** — View, create/edit, delete
  * **Conversations** — View, send
  * **Calendar** — View, create/edit, delete
  * **Agents** — View, create/edit, delete
  * **Campaigns** — View, create/edit, delete

  * **Billing** — View, manage
  * **Users** — View, invite/remove
  * **Settings** — View, edit

  Changes take effect immediately for all users currently in the workspace.
</Accordion>

## Agency-Level Roles

If your workspace is part of an agency, there's a second layer of roles that applies at the agency level — independent of workspace roles.

| Agency Role | What They Can Do |
| - | - |
| **Owner** | Full agency control: create/detach workspaces, manage agency billing, invite/remove agency users, update agency settings |
| **Admin** | Create workspaces, invite users to workspaces, view all workspace data across the agency — cannot manage billing or agency-level settings |

Agency owners and admins can switch between all workspaces under the agency using the workspace switcher. Their agency role grants this cross-workspace access — it doesn't override workspace-level permissions within any individual workspace.

### Inviting an Agency Team Member

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Agency Users page">
    From the agency dashboard, navigate to **Agency → Users**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter their email and role">
    In the Invite User form, enter the team member's email address and select either **Admin** or **User** as their agency role.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the invite">
    Click **Send Invite**. The team member receives an invitation email with a link to accept. Once accepted, they appear in the agency users list with the assigned role.
  </Step>
</Steps>

### Removing an Agency Team Member

Agency owners can remove any non-owner team member from the agency. Navigate to **Agency → Users**, find the person in the members table, and click **Remove**. Removing someone from the agency revokes their cross-workspace access but does not delete any workspace-level accounts they may have.

<Warning>
  You cannot remove yourself from the agency as the owner. If you need to transfer ownership, contact Myna support.
