Every Myna workspace has its own set of users, each assigned a role that governs what they can see and do. You can invite teammates, clients, or contractors to a workspace and give them exactly the level of access they need — from full administrative control to read-only conversation access. Agency accounts add a second role layer that grants cross-workspace visibility for your internal team.

Workspace Roles

Every user in a workspace is assigned one of three roles: Owner, Admin, or User. The owner role belongs to the person who created the workspace (or was granted ownership by an agency admin) and cannot be changed.
Workspace users can only see the workspace they’ve been explicitly invited to. If you’re a workspace admin, you have no visibility into other workspaces you haven’t been invited to — even within the same agency.

Role Permissions Comparison

The table below reflects the default permissions for each role. Workspace owners can customize admin and user permissions in Settings → Permissions.
Workspace owners can customize the default permissions for the Admin and User roles. Go to Settings → Permissions to adjust which features each role can access within your workspace.

Inviting a New User

1

Open Settings → Users

In the workspace sidebar, navigate to Settings and select Users.
2

Click Invite User

Click the Invite User button to open the invite form.
3

Enter the email address

Type the email address of the person you want to invite. Make sure you use the email they’ll use to log in to Myna.
4

Select a role

Choose Admin to give them full workspace access (agents, campaigns, billing view, settings), or User to give them limited access (conversations and contacts only).
5

Send the invite

Click Send Invite. The person receives an email with an invite link. They must click the link to accept and join the workspace.

Pending Invites

Invited users appear in the Users list with a Pending status until they accept their invite. You can resend or revoke a pending invite at any time from the same Users settings page.
If an invitee doesn’t receive the email, ask them to check their spam folder. The invite email comes from Myna’s notification address and occasionally gets filtered.

Removing a User

To revoke a user’s access, navigate to Settings → Users, find the user in the list, and click Remove. Their access is revoked immediately — they will no longer be able to log in to the workspace. Only the workspace owner can remove users. You cannot remove yourself from a workspace.

Customizing Permissions

Workspace owners can fine-tune what admins and users are allowed to do beyond the defaults. Navigate to Settings → Permissions to open the permissions editor.
You can enable or disable specific actions within each of the following categories for the Admin and User roles:
  • Dashboard — View access
  • Contacts — View, create/edit, delete
  • Conversations — View, send
  • Calendar — View, create/edit, delete
  • Agents — View, create/edit, delete
  • Campaigns — View, create/edit, delete
  • Memory Hub — View, create/edit, delete
  • Playground — Access
  • Integrations — View, manage
  • Billing — View, manage
  • Users — View, invite/remove
  • Settings — View, edit
Changes take effect immediately for all users currently in the workspace.

Agency-Level Roles

If your workspace is part of an agency, there’s a second layer of roles that applies at the agency level — independent of workspace roles. Agency owners and admins can switch between all workspaces under the agency using the workspace switcher. Their agency role grants this cross-workspace access — it doesn’t override workspace-level permissions within any individual workspace.

Inviting an Agency Team Member

1

Open the Agency Users page

From the agency dashboard, navigate to Agency → Users.
2

Enter their email and role

In the Invite User form, enter the team member’s email address and select either Admin or User as their agency role.
3

Send the invite

Click Send Invite. The team member receives an invitation email with a link to accept. Once accepted, they appear in the agency users list with the assigned role.

Removing an Agency Team Member

Agency owners can remove any non-owner team member from the agency. Navigate to Agency → Users, find the person in the members table, and click Remove. Removing someone from the agency revokes their cross-workspace access but does not delete any workspace-level accounts they may have.
You cannot remove yourself from the agency as the owner. If you need to transfer ownership, contact Myna support.
